Here are some links to pictures of my homebrew amplifier using the Eimac 8877 (3CX1500A7) triode.  The amplifier started life as an RF generator at 13.56MHz for plasma cutting or sputtering. It was rated at 1500W output at 100% duty cycle! It has been modified with a G3SEK control board and instead of the 50W oscillator driving the PA, the output from the transceiver has been connected in it's place. 10W drive gives approximately 400W output although I have to use the ATU in the transceiver to match the output of the transceiver to the input of the amplifier.

This amplifier has been given the name of "Zanussi" as all of my friends say its "The appliance of science"

The pictures are in Hi-Res and take a long time to load, so click the links below to load the individual pictures.

As you can see, the amplifier is huge, it stands at 4 feet tall and weighs approximately 225Kg!
